Authorities Confiscate Illegally Imported Chicken in Kanchanpur
Kanchanpur: In a recent development, authorities in Kanchanpur have intercepted and seized a consignment of illegally imported chicken from India, which evaded customs scrutiny.
A significant haul of one and a half quintals (150 kg) of broiler chicken was apprehended at Belauri Municipality-1 Fataiya border.
The Nepal Police's Far West Province Investigation Group (RIT) disclosed that the interception took place on Tuesday night, during which the illicitly imported chicken was confiscated. Subsequently, the seized chickens have been handed over to the local police station for further necessary actions.
This incident underscores the ongoing efforts by law enforcement agencies to combat smuggling activities and uphold regulatory measures in the region.
