UML Candidate Files Complaint Against Nepali Congress National Assembly Hopeful Narayanadatta Bhatta
Dhangadhi: A formal complaint has been lodged against Narayanadatta Bhatta, the Nepali Congress candidate for the National Assembly. Ramchandra Joshi, representing UML, filed the complaint at the election officer's office against Bhatta, who is vying for a National Assembly seat from Sudurpaschim Province.
The complaint, submitted on Sunday, centers around Bhatta's candidacy, particularly his representation as a nominee from the ruling coalition despite alleged issues related to physical disability. Bhatta, who also serves as the district president of Nepali Congress in Kailali, is facing scrutiny regarding the authenticity of his physical disability.
Prem Dutt Bhatta, the Head of the Provincial Election Office, confirmed the registration of the complaint, emphasizing that it questions the validity of Bhatta's candidacy, given that he holds a disability identity card. The Election Officer is expected to make a decision on this complaint by January 8th.
