Police Apprehend Six Individuals in Kanchanpur for Drug Possession on Same Day
Dhangadhi: In a coordinated effort, law enforcement in Kanchanpur apprehended six individuals on the same day for drug-related offenses. According to the Nepal Police, three suspects were taken into custody from Beldandi Rural Municipality Ward No. 4 Baiwah, while the remaining three were arrested from Belauri Municipality Ward No. 7 Paulah.
On Wednesday, authorities detained 18-year-old Kishore from Beldandi Rural Municipality Ward No. 2, along with 19-year-old Shivraj Bhatt from Krishnapur Municipality No. 5 and 23-year-old Arjun Rawat from Shuklaphata Municipality Ward No. 11. The arrests were made in Baiwah, Ward No. 4 of Beldandi Rural Municipality, with one gram of 930 mg of brown heroin. The suspects, riding bicycles, were intercepted and apprehended by police from Beldandi and Jhilmila police stations.
Simultaneously, in Belauri Municipality Ward No. 7 Paulah, law enforcement arrested 29-year-old Purushottam Rana, 22-year-old Jairam Rana from Krishnapur Municipality Ward No. 9 Piparia, and 28-year-old Mangal Chaudhary from Belauri Municipality Ward No. 2 Gokulpur. The trio was found in possession of 77 milligrams of brown heroin. The arrests were made during a routine check of a motorcycle with the registration number 9901 Sudurpaschim Province 01-007 by the police stationed at Ela Police Office Belauri.
