After four days of challenging circumstances, a joint effort involving local authorities culminated in their safe retrieval.
Today, at 9 am, the injured yarsa collectors were airlifted by a helicopter belonging to the Nepali Army, and subsequently transported to Nepalgunj Medical College for essential medical treatment. The Nepali Army's aircraft, dispatched from Surkhet with the intention of rescuing the injured individuals, had faced unexpected delays at the Khalanga headquarters due to adverse weather conditions.
The incident occurred on Saturday evening in Humdumti, within the confines of the Beas Rural Municipality. Among the injured were Mahesh Badal, an 18-year-old from Duhun Rural Municipality-2 Hikila, Ansingh Mehra, aged 37, and his 30-year-old wife Manmati Mehra, both hailing from Rural Municipality-1 Pipalchauri.
