The Health Promotion Center conducted the program 'Literature with Health'
Dhangadhi: A 'Sahitya' program has been organized in Dhangadhi.
A health promotion program related to non-communicable diseases and drugs was organized by the Regional Health Promotion Center Kanchanpur under the Ministry of Social Development of the Far Western Province. The program is designed to make health care more effective and interesting by combining health promotion practices with literature creation.
Hemraj Khadka, head of Provincial Health Promotion Center Kanchanpur, said that the program was organized to make people aware by combining health messages with literature. "Currently, due to non-transmissible diseases in the province, the health of the general public is at risk. Through the creation of literature, public awareness can be increased and a healthy lifestyle can be practiced," he said. "The program has been organized so that the health message is effective through the creation of literature."
In the program, 12 people presented poems, ghazals, songs, sayris and deudas reflecting the message of non-communicable diseases and drug control. The authors gave their presentation in Nepali language, Doteli and Tharu language. Prizes and certificates were awarded to the top 3 out of 12 participants.
Dr. TN Joshi, Vice-Chancellor of Sudurpaschim Pragya Pratishthan, said that organizing programs by linking health with literature is a new practice. He said that Pragya Pratishthan is ready to cooperate with Provincial Health Promotion Center to cooperate on sensitive issues like health. The program was conducted by Dan Bahadur Sunar, legal officer of the Ministry of Social Development and Shersingh Bista, executive member of the Provincial Youth Council.
Dr.TN Joshi, Vice-Chancellor of Sudurpaschim Pragya Pratishthan, was the chief guest in the event. Tirtharaj Pandey, President of Sudurpaschim Sahitya Samaj and Ganesh Nepali Literary Secretary Padmaraj Joshi (Prabhat) were the guests. Literary fellows and students participated in the program.
