Formation of the government in Far-West stalls as Nagrik Unmukti Party remains silent
Dhangadhi: The formation of the government in the Far-West seems to be stalling as the Nagrik Unmukti Party continues to remain indecisive about supporting UML to form a government unless their demands are met.
Confusion has increased after the Prime Minister and Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal and UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli demanded a written agreement to release party patron Resham Chaudhary from jail.
Chaudhary has said that he will not be in the alliance if there is no concrete decision by 2 pm today. Resham raised this issue to MPs and leaders close to him in Dillibazar Jail today.
7 MPs of Nagrik Unmukti are decisive for the formation of the Far-West government.
So far, Nagrik Unmukti has remained silent in picking a side. In such a situation, it has also started to be discussed that the leader of the Congress parliamentary party will be appointed as the chief minister by the provincial head. The Nagrik Unmukti Party have also demanded for the Chief Minister to be appointed from their party along with the release of their party members who have been sentenced imprisonment in regard to the Tikapur clash case.
