Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba in Dhangadhi for two days
Dhangadhi: Prime Minister and Chairman of Nepali Congress Sher Bahadur Deuba is currently in Dhangadhi. Prime Minister Deuba reached Dhangadhi, which is also a temporary station in Far West, on Sunday evening. Deuba went to his home district Dadeldhura last night (October 17) and returned to Dhangadhi yesterday evening.
Deuba, who went to his home district, addressed the election meetings there asking for his votes. It is said that Deuba, who reached Dhangadhi after the election meeting in the home district, is busy meeting workers today. According to Congress Kailali, Deuba has called the leaders and activists of Kailali and Dhangadhi to his private residence in Dhangadhi and is holding an election-focused meeting and discussion.
Secretary of Congress Kailali, Nrip Sunar, informed that Deuba has called some dissatisfied leaders, workers and those who have rebelled from the party to discuss the issue of candidate selection. He said that Deuba is getting information about the election situation and possible results from the leaders and activists of Kailali.
According to him, Deuba also called and met Congress leader Govindraj Joshi, who had submitted a rebel candidacy in Kailali Region No. 3 State Assembly (2), at his residence. Similarly, Deuba is instructing the leaders and workers to work hard to win the election. Dilliraj Pant from Congress and Prime Minister Deuba's nephew Prakash Deuba from the State Assembly (2) are candidates in Constituency No. 5 of Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City.
Former Congress leader Pushkarnath Ojha has also filed an independent candidature in constituency number 5. Ojha won from the Congress in the by-elections held in 2007. In the 2074 election, he was also expelled from Congress for not supporting the Prime Minister's wife, Arju Rana Deuba, who was a candidate from this region. Prime Minister Deuba is trying to convince the dissatisfied as some of the Congress leaders and workers are in favor of Ojha and it is being assessed that there is a challenge to the victory of the alliance.
Naradamuni Rana is a candidate for the member of the House of Representatives from CPN-UML. In the 2074 election, Rana defeated Deuba's wife Arju Rana Deuba. Even now, it is seen that there will be a clash between the UML, the ruling coalition, and the independents.
Today and tomorrow at Dhangadhi, fly to the hills
Congress Kailali said that Prime Minister Deuba will stay in Dhangadhi for the next two days. It is said that Deuba will discuss with the leaders and workers here for 2 days in Dhangadhi. It is said that no other formal program has been decided here except the discussion with the party people. Thereafter, he will travel to the hilly areas of Sudurpaschim.
Deuba is going to Darchula and Baitadi to address the joint election meeting of the alliance. In Darchula and Baitadi, along with Deuba, the leader of the alliance (Maoist Chairman) Prachanda and the Chairman of the United Samajwadi Party, Madhav Kumar Nepal, will also address the program.
