Dhangadhi: The regional representative of Nepali Congress in Kailali has left the party. Hari Regmi of Dhangadhi, who is also the regional representative of Congress, has left the party.

Congress Kailali Chairman Narayanadatta Bhatt asked him for an explanation within 24 hours saying that he had advocated for an independent candidate in the House of Representatives Constituency No. 5. He was asked to clarify that he had received a complaint with evidence that he had spread propaganda in favor of an independent candidate who ran against the ruling coalition, had given public statements in support of an independent candidate and presented the same on social media.

Regmi has given the answer to the clarification asked on Saturday. On the contrary, he has made it clear that he is now independent by accusing Chairman Bhatt of 5 points. Demanding proof that he had campaigned for an independent candidate, Regmi accused Chairman Bhatt of sharing the campaign material of an independent candidate.

He has also mentioned in the letter that he is free from the 20th of Kartik. Regmi's letter to the district president states that "the journey of becoming a member of the NECA since 2045 has given up the membership of NECA and become a free citizen today on Kartik 20, 2079."
