Electricity reached Dhami village in Baitadi

Dhangadhi: Electricity has reached Dhami village in Baitadi's Dilashaini village. Santosh Prakash Joshi, chairman of the rural municipality, said that the central transmission line of Nepal Electricity Authority has been extended to the center of the municipality.

He said that on Monday, on the day of Lakshmi Puja, electricity was lit in Dhami village. It is said that electricity has reached the villages of Dhamigaon, Vasantpur and other villages under Ward No. 7 through the 11 KV transmission line. Locals said that they were happy when the electricity turned on during Tihar in the slums which had been in darkness for a long time.

The rural municipality has accelerated the electricity expansion work under the Bright Dilashaini Campaign. Earlier, electricity was extended to the office of Ward No. 5. It is said that electricity is being extended to other settlements of the municipality.
