Shipment of ballot papers to Far West begins

Dhangadhi: The ballot papers of 20 districts have been printed directly under the Assembly of Representatives and State Assembly elections to be held on November 20th (Mangshir 4th). On Wednesday, the printing of ballot papers for Achham, Doti, Kailali and Kanchanpur for the House of Representatives and Doti, Dadeldhura and Kailali for the State Assembly was completed.

The Election Commission has said that about 30 percent of the direct ballots have been printed. According to the commission, 1 crore 28 lakh 49 thousand 500 ballot papers have been printed. Rishiram Bhusal, Assistant Spokesperson of the Commission informed that 64 lakh 32 thousand 500 ballot papers have been printed for the State Assembly and 64 lakh 17 thousand ballot papers for the House of Representatives.

There are 1 crore 79 lakh 88 thousand 570 voters for the election. According to which, about 40 million ballots will be required for direct and about 40 million ballots for proportional. Earlier, the printing of direct ballot papers in Salyan, Dolpa, Mugu, Jumla, Calikot, Humla, Jajarkot, Dailekh, Rukum West, Surkhet, Bajura, Bajhang, Doti, Darchula, Baitadi and Dadeldhura districts has been completed. The printing of ballot papers for the provincial assembly has also been completed in Salyan, Dolpa, Mugu, Jumla, Calikot, Humla, Jajarkot, Dailekh, Rukum West, Surkhet, Bajura, Bajhang, Darchula, Baitadi and Acham districts.

The Commission has started transporting ballot papers towards the proportional election system in the districts of Far west Province from Thursday. Ballot papers have been transported to Kailali, Kanchanpur, Doti, Dadeldhura, Bajhang, Baitadi, Darchula and other districts.

Ballot papers have already been transported to the districts of Bagmati, Madhes and Province No. 1.
