Mourning holiday in Mashta Rural Municipality of Bajhang

Dhangadhi: Mourning leave has been given in Mashta Rural Municipality of Bajhang.

Mashta rural municipality declared a holiday on Thursday in mourning after the death of eight people from the municipality in a jeep accident. It is said that Mourning leave was given in Mashta rural municipality office, ward office and offices under rural municipality on Thursday.

On Wednesday afternoon, a Jeep number 01-001 Ch 117 was involved in an accident in Tufandanda, Ward No. 1 of Mashta Rural Municipality. They had gone to see the Sildevi Mela at the headquarters, Chainpur, and the jeep accident happened while they were returning.

15 people were injured in the accident. Bajhang police said that the injured are being treated at the district hospital Simkhet.
