Instructions to hand over arms to Achham by 5th Kartik
Dhangadhi: District Administration Office Achham has given instructions to hand over the licensed weapons by the 5th of Kartik. The office has issued a notice and has asked to surrender the weapons keeping in mind the security arrangements for the Assembly of Representatives and Provincial Assembly elections to be held on 20th November (Mangshir 4th).
In order to conduct the elections in a clean, fair and safe environment, it is essential to create a fear-free environment by managing security, so it has been asked through a notification to hand over the licensed weapons in the district to the nearest police unit by 22nd October (5th Kartik). The notification also mentions that the handed over arms will be kept safe and the arms will be returned to the owner after the election.
Similarly, even if someone has unlicensed guns and air guns, they have been asked to voluntarily surrender to the police units. If the arms are not handed over within the stipulated time, action will be taken according to the law.
