Doti's rural roads blocked

Doti: More than a dozen rural roads in Doti have been blocked due to incessant rain since Saturday. Landslides have occurred in some parts of the road, while most of the roads have reached a condition where traffic cannot be operated.

Due to the rains, more than a dozen landslides in Doti and Khare river have blocked roads in rural areas such as Deoli Risdi road through Suva Khan of Badikedar rural municipality, Rantola road through Antarkanda, Kedar Akhada road from Chhidikhan of Bogtan Fudsil rural municipality, Nadau road from Chawara Chautara to Satfari Dhirga, BP Nagar Khasre road of Zorayal rural municipality.

Laxman Deuba of Zorayal Rural Municipality-5 said that due to the random opening of tracks without considering the environmental impact assessment, rural roads are blocked even during normal rains. Meen Shah, a resident of Badikedar Rural Municipality, said that after the track was opened, some of the roads that were brought into operation during the dry season are now unusable.
