58 schools selected for Presidential Educational Reform Program in Baitadi

Dhangadhi: 58 schools in Baitadi have been selected for the Presidential Educational Reform Programme. Out of 221 schools that applied for the educational reform program, 58 schools were selected.

The maximum number of 13 schools were selected from Purchaidi Municipality, 8 from Melauli Municipality, 6/6 from Sigas and Surnaya Rural Municipality, 5 from Patan Municipality, 4/4 from Dilashaini, Dogdakedar, Pancheswar, Shivnath Rural Municipality and Dasharatchhand Municipality. In those schools, ICT labs will be established, 2-room and 4-room buildings will be constructed.

In the current financial year, ICT labs will be established in 21 schools, while two and four-room buildings will be constructed in 37 schools. Education Development and Coordination Unit Baitadi Information Officer Pushkar Raj Sharma informed that Rs 650,000 budget has been allocated for ICT lab and Rs 25 lakhs budget for two-room building and Rs 5 lakhs budget for 4-room building.
