Relief distribution for flood victims of Darchula commences 

Dhangadhi: Relief distribution will be started from today for the flood victims of Darchula. The meeting of the District Disaster Management Committee held this morning (Sunday) decided to distribute the relief.

Landslides and floods that have occurred since Friday night as the incessant rain have caused heavy loss of life in Mahakali Municipality and Naugad Rural Municipality of the district.

Inspector Jagat Magar informed that 5 bodies have been found so far, 10 are missing and 8 are injured. Out of 8 injured, 5 are undergoing treatment and 3 have been discharged.

In addition, the work of connecting Dunhu rural municipality, which is disconnected from the road network, with the headquarters has also been started. Inspector Jagat Magar said that the team of the Nepali Army has started repairing the road leading to Dunhu.
