Fares applicable for long and short distance rides in Darchula
Darchula: Vehicle fares have been implemented in Darchula. A new fare rate has been set for long and short distance passenger vehicles within the district. District Public Transport Management Committee's meeting on Thursday has increased the fares of some routes, while in some routes the fares have been set lower than the current fares, said Chief District Officer Gilgraj Upadhyay, who is also the chairman of the committee.
The fare for short-distance public transport on paved roads is fixed at Rs 8 per kilometre. According to which one has to pay Rs 60 to reach Dhap, 7 km from Khalanga. If you use a vehicle running on unpaved roads, you will have to pay more than Rs 15 per km. Now one has to pay Rs 250 to travel 15 km from Khalanga to Duhu Rural Municipality-4, Chalyagada.
According to the committee, while the current fare is Rs 500 per person in the Khalanga-Gokuleswar section, now Rs 450 has been fixed. From Khalanga to Latinath of Marma Rural Municipality, the fare was Rs 1000 rupees per person, and now it's fixed to Rs 800.
The fare from Khalanga to Makrigad of Apihimal Rural Municipality has been reduced from 1500 rupees to 1000 rupees. The new fare from Gokuleshwar to Rithachoupata of Lekam Rural Municipality has been fixed at Rs 350 per person.
According to the committee, the new fare from Khalanga to Malikarjun Rural Municipality-6, Saleti has been fixed at Rs 350. The fare from Khalanga to Dallekh of Naugad village is Rs 250, from Gokuleshwar to Dhuligada is Rs 200 and from Gokuleshwar to Hoparigad, the center of Naugad Rural Municipality, the fare is Rs 350.
