Businessmen of Kaluwapur market are worried after the increase in theft
Kanchanpur: Businessmen have become very worried after the cases of thefts started increasing in Kaluwapur market located in Shuklaphanta Municipality-11, which is connected to the East-West Highway. The businessmen have demanded that the incidents of theft should be minimized and the property of the people should be protected.
As the festival season is approaching, the incidents of theft have started to increase. As the incidents of theft started to increase, the businessmen started reaching out to the ward office and the police asking for tighter security.
Only last week, thieves broke into a shop of local businessman Bhim Bahadur Ayer and stole goods including cash. There were attempted thefts in half a dozen shops. Goats kept in the sheds of local farmers near the market area were also stolen at night times. The locals have informed the Ward President about the repairing of the lights installed in the market area.
Ward President Sher Bahadur Saud said that to maintain peace and strengthen the security in the market area, necessary strategies will be formulated after discussions with local businessmen, police and community leaders.
