A leopard attacked a child going to school in Baitadi

Baitadi: A child was injured in a leopard attack in Baitadi. 13-year-old Paras Dhanadi of Shivnath Rural Municipality-6, Basedi of the district was attacked by the leopard, said Police Inspector Lokraj Joshi, spokesperson of the district police office.

Police spokesperson Joshi said that the leopard attacked Dhanadi at a place called Basedi Thadizer while going to school on Tuesday morning. He reportedly suffered injuries to his head, neck and waist. Dhanadi has been taken to Primary Health Center Melauli for treatment.

In Baitadi since 2068 BS, 25 people have died due to leopard attacks and more than 11 people have been injured. Similarly, since 2074 BS, 12 leopards have been killed in Baitadi.
