3 leaders of CPN arrested for protesting in Kanchanpur

Kanchanpur: 3 CPN leaders led by Netra Bikram Chand (Biplav) who were protesting in Kanchanpur have been arrested. On Tuesday morning, the police arrested Akhil Revolutionary central member Lalit SK, Akhil Revolutionary district coordinator Bharat BK and treasurer Anil Gharedi.

CPN's Kanchanpur District Secretary Prakash Malla said that they were arrested without any reason. Stating that the protest was a pre-announced program, he said that all the arrested should be released immediately.

According to the 3-point agreement with the government, the Biplava-led CPN has announced a country-wide shutdown today, putting forward demands such as withdrawal of cases against their party leaders/activists, release from prison, cancellation of unequal treaty agreements, control of expensive corruption.
