Dhangadhi: The government has announced to hold parliamentary elections on November 20. With the announcement of the election date, the locals of Dhangadhi have been eagerly anticipating the representative from Nepali Congress for the forthcoming elections.

Election discussions have been going on about Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba's wife Arzu Deuba Rana and former minister of state and leader Pushkarnath Ojha, who was suspended by the Congress after the 2074 elections. In the election of 2074, Arzu, who was a candidate of the House of Representatives from Kailali Constituency No. 5, was defeated by about 4,000 votes against UML's Naradamuni Rana. Ojha, who had been expecting a ticket from Nepali Congress, was accused of conspiring against defeating Arzu. On that charge, Ojha was prosecuted by the party.

The action taken by the Nepali Congress against Ojha by suspending him as an ordinary member has not been released yet. It is believed that Ojha has started preparations to give his candidature as an Independent candidate from Kailali-5 in the forthcoming parliamentary elections. A person close to him confirmed that he has informed his close leaders and activists that his candidacy will remain. Similarly, there is a discussion among the congressmen that the Prime Minister's wife Arzu will once again be the candidate from Nepali Congress. Due to this discussion and the big conflict within the Kailali Congress party, the parliamentary elections here are expected to be interesting.
