Ward number 7 of KI Singh Rural Municipality, Doti bans alcohol

Doti: Ward number 7 of KI Singh Rural Municipality of Doti has decided to take action against those who sell, distribute and consume alcohol. The ward has decided to punish them by making them carry stones to the ward office for 15 days if they consume alcohol while the punishment will be applicable for a month to those who sell it.

Ward Chairman Dil Bahadur Balayer said that he decided to take such action after discussions with traders and ward residents. "On May 26, we had agreed upon completely banning alcohol in the ward. We have been forced to make such a decision, now those who do not follow the rules should not be ashamed of carrying stones as well," he said.
