The Vedkot Municipality of Kanchanpur has brought a budget of over Rs. 98 crore

Dhangadhi: Vedkot Municipality has brought the budget for the coming fiscal year 2079/080. A budget of Rs. 98 crore has been submitted by the 11th Municipal Assembly of the municipality on Wednesday. The current budget for the coming year is estimated at Rs. 71.53 crore and the capital budget at Rs. 26.65 crore. Along with the budget, policies and programs have also been presented in the Municipal Assembly.

The budget is estimated to generate Rs. 2.5 crore from internal sources. In addition, it is estimated that the revenue will come from the grants of the federal and state governments. The municipality has stated that it will give priority to rural electrification and road blacktop, ease of distribution of social security allowances, rewarding the best working employees, consumer committee, NGOs, adopting three pillar economy and creating employment opportunities.
