Leopard terror persists in Baitadi's Surnaya

Dhangadhi: A leopard has terrorized Surnaya rural municipality-8 of Baitadi district. According to Tejan Bohara, a local of Dhole of Surnaya, about 25 goats have been eaten by leopards in the last 15 days alone.

The leopards started eating goats, fallow deer and other domestic animals from the herd at night. According to local Bikram Luhar, four or five leopards come from the nearby Dhole forest. According to local Ganesh Bhat, leopards have also started eating domestic animals in Surnaya-4. Panic has spread among the locals after leopards started eating pets.
