Cases of Coronavirus rise in Far-West
Dhangadhi: The number of Coronavirus infected has started increasing again in the last few days in the far western region. According to Dipayal Rajpur of the state health directorate, the number of newly infected people has reached 162 within a week.
It is said that people here who are returning home from neighboring India have started showing the infection. As the number of people returning to Nepal has increased along with the increase in infections in India, the rate of infection has also increased in the far west, according to the directorate.
According to the directorate, the highest number of 92 newly infected people has been added in Kailali, 53 in Kanchanpur, 12 in Baitadi, two in Darchula, one each in Bajhang, Bajura, and Dadeldhura. The new variant of the Corona, Omicron, is on the rise, and the number of people active in the Far-Western region is on the rise, raising concerns among locals.
