Three announce candidacy for UML Kailali president's post

Dhangadhi: Leaders in the race for the leadership of the CPN (UML) in Kailali have been active in political discussions. After the leadership is selected through the district convention starting from tomorrow, the leaders have become active in political discussions.

There are three aspirants for the leadership of the Kailali district. Leaders Ratan Thapa, Ran Bahadur Chand, and Daisy Pandey have expressed interest in becoming the district chairman. Thapa, who was elected vice-chairman at the previous UML convention, is now holding the post of district chairman, and Chand, who was elected secretary, is holding the post of vice-chairman. Leader Ran Bahadur Chand said that he had demanded chairmanship as suggested by the party leaders and cadres.

' Meanwhile, another aspirant for the post, Ratan Thapa, said that he wanted to become the chairman as per the advice of the leaders and cadres. "I have been active in the UML for many years now," Thapa told Dinesh Khabar. I think my leadership also has a role in that.

That is why I want to work as a term chairperson, "he said. Another leader, Pandey, said the UML was the first force in the district and demanded the chairmanship to maintain it. "Right now, the UML is the first force in Kailali and my candidature is to keep it as it is and to gain more power," he added.
