220 COVID-19 cases, two deaths in 24 hours
Kathmandu: The country has reported 220 more COVID-19 cases and two infected related deaths in the past 24 hours.
The caseloads were from the total 7,608 RT-PCR tests, according to the Ministry of Health and Population. With this, active infection cases in the country have hit 4,864. The total death toll from the virus has reached 11,590. The infection rate is 3.2 percent, said Dr Sangita Kaushal Mishra, Spokesperson for the Ministry, at a regular press conference here on Wednesday.
Lately, 253 infected people have recovered. With this, the recovery figure is 811,518. Of the infection figure in the past 24 hours, the Kathmandu Valley made up 123 cases (92 in Kathmandu, 18 in Lalitpur and 13 in Bhaktapur). So far, 4,608 infected people have been in home-isolation and 256 in institutional-isolation.
Similarly, 87 have been admitted to intensive care units and 21 are on a ventilator support. Also today, 202,687 people have been vaccinated against the virus.
