Robbery in the name of service outside the Labour and Employment Office Dhangadhi
Dhangadhi: Rajendra Saund of Gauri Ganga Municipality Ward No. 5 of Kailali came to Dhangadhi on Tuesday for a labour permit. He stayed in Dhangadhi after his employer did not send him a demand form for a labor permit. He reached the Labor and Employment Office in Dhangadhi on Wednesday and was asked to fill up an online form. He filled the online form at a firm outside the Labour Office Dhangadhi.
He paid Rs 6,300 including taxes, insurance, and service charges. 'Taxes and insurance took 6,300. But it is not said how much. I don't know how much the service charge was, 'he told Dinesh Khabar. He complained that looting was carried out in the name of service outside the Labour and Employment Office, Dhangadhi. Similarly, the firms operating to fill up the online form of Labour permit have been accused of looting from time to time.
Firms operating illegally have been charging up to Rs 1,000 from one service recipient. Nepalis in foreign employment have been forced to pay more because they do not know about taxes and the amount they have to pay to the government. Most of the unregistered firms have been charging arbitrary amounts. They have been charging different fees according to the service recipients. Another service recipient told Dinesh Khabar, "I have paid Rs 400 for the service fee." Although illegal firms have been collecting the arbitrary amount from service recipients outside the labor office, it has not been regulated.
It has complained that the labor office, local level, and local administration have ignored the regulation. Janak Ukheda, acting chief of the Labor and Employment Office, Dhangadhi, has also admitted that there is no regulation. He said, "There have been complaints that more money has been taken while filling the form." We have given them general suggestions. But the process of charging more has not stopped. ' If the government is not able to collect taxes from the illegally operating firms, the citizens are being deceived every day.
