Dhangadhi: Nepal Police has also stepped-up surveillance after an auto-rickshaw driver complained of taking exorbitant fare from the Trinagar-Gauriphanta border crossing.

Even though the fare up to Dhangadhi Bus Park was Rs 30, the auto-rickshaw driver was complaining that he had charged 30 times more than Rs 1,000. After the same complaint, Kailali police has stepped up surveillance to prevent the rickshaw driver from being robbed. Chief of the Ward Police Office, Dhangadhi, Gauri Shankar Joshi said that the rickshaw was held from 8 am to 10 am on Monday. "In the first phase, you have been released after explanation," he said. Since Sunday, the District Traffic Police Office has been conducting a campaign to increase surveillance on auto-rickshaw drivers.

The victim has been requested to inform the police after the autorickshaw driver took more fare.
