Locals stage a sit-in infront of the Area Administration Office demanding justice for Asmita

Dhangadhi: The struggle committee is staging a sit-in at the Area Administration Office, Jogbudhama, demanding justice for Asmita Dhami, who was found dead in Dadeldhura.

The committee has been holding a sit-in since Tuesday to press for the killer of Asmita Devi Dhami working at Jamrani Basic Health Center of Parashuram Municipality-8 to be made public and to implement the agreement reached between the family and the municipality.

Dhan Bahadur Bohara, a coordinator of the struggle committee, said that Asmita's killer should be made public as soon as possible, relief should be provided to the victim's family as soon as possible and the name of Jamrani Basic Health Center should be changed to Asmita Memorial Basic Health Center.

Man Bahadur Bohara, the deputy coordinator of the committee, has warned that if the administration is still silent on the issue of Asmita's death, they will hold a sit-in. The body of Asmita was found in the Hatwani Community Forest of Parashuram Municipality-9 on July 20. But police have not yet been able to determine the cause of death.
