The forgotten palace of Ukhu

Ukhu is a historical palace from 1279B.C. Situated in ward no 6 of Malika Arjun rural municipality, Dharchula, the palace belonged to King Abhay Pal of the Katyuri kingdom. This palace situated in the Indo-Nepal border has been unable to attract tourists. The archeological department has failed to give the palace any recognition which would increase the revenue through tourism.
