Nine injured in a jeep accident in Kailali

Dhangadhi: Nine people have been injured after two jeeps collided with each other in Kailali.

The incident took place at Teghari of Godawari Municipality-4 on Sunday morning. A Hiace (01001 Kha 2623) and a Tata Safari (Ga 1 Cha 7963) coming from opposite directions collided with each other.

The injured have been identified as Rakhi Dhami, 48, of Gopghat, Shikhar Municipality-11, Lal Bahadur Dhami, 16, of the same place, Dharma Dhami, 60, of Amargadhi Municipality-11, Dadeldhura and Laxmidevi Joshi, 43, of Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan Ward No 5, Taranagar.

Similarly, Nirmala Thapa, 48, Nisa Thapa, 27, Nitu Thapa, 29, Vijay Shah, 36, and Krishna Bista, 26, of Mahavu Rural Municipality-3 of Dailekh were injured in the incident. All of them are undergoing treatment at Padma Hospital in Attaria except, Laxmi Devi Joshi of Dhangadhi who has been sent to Maya Metro Hospital for further treatment, police said.
