One dead and two rescued after falling from a cliff in Doti

Doti: A man has died after falling from a cliff in Doti.

Suresh Kathayat of Dipayal Silgadhi Municipality Ward No. 2 of the district was found dead, according to the District Police Office, Doti. Similarly, two people were found injured in the incident, said Indra Bahadur Malla, Deputy Superintendent of Police.

The injured have been identified as Suresh Pariyar of Dipayal Silgadhi Municipality-2 and Mohan Saud of Ward No. 3, he said. The deceased along with the other two were found on the hill behind Pipalla.

It is understood that they were returning home from Pipalla market after consuming alcohol on Thursday night when the mishap happened. The injured Mohan Saund is undergoing treatment at Shaileshwari Hospital, Dipayal while, Suresh Pariyar is being treated at Bayalpata Hospital, Achham, police said.

Police also said that further investigation is underway.
