In Baitadi, 48 vaccination centers have been set up to vaccinate senior citizens

Baitadi: Senior citizens above the age of 65 will be vaccinated against corona virus from March 8. In the first phase of the second priority, preparations have been made to vaccinate the senior citizens of five local levels of the district against corona.

Yogesh Prasad Bhatta, chief of the health office in Baitadi, said that 48 vaccination centers have been set up in each ward at the local level.

In the campaign that will be conducted till March 10, the person who comes to get vaccinated will have to bring the age identity card.

Chief Bhatta said that the vaccination campaign is being conducted only in five out of the ten local levels.

Vaccination campaign will be conducted in Dasharathchanda, Patan, Purchaudi and Maloli municipalities and Dogadakedar village municipality. He said, "We are conducting a campaign at the local level with a medical team including doctors to manage the unwanted incidents that may occur after the vaccination."

Currently, there are 13,000 doses of vaccine in stock in the district, according to the health office. Earlier, more than 2,700 people in the district have been vaccinated against corona.

In the first phase of vaccination priority, health workers, women health volunteers, sanitation workers, crew management staff and in the second phase, journalists, staff, security agencies, people's representatives and others were vaccinated.3

For the first phase, only one vaccination center was designated in the district hospital, while in the second phase, five vaccination centers were designated.

Meanwhile, those who received the first dose in the first phase will be given the second dose on April 19 and those who have been vaccinated in the second phase will be given the second dose from May 22.
