A teacher found dead in Doti, relatives demand investigation
Dhangadhi: The relatives of a teacher found dead in Doti on Thursday have said that they will take the body only after a thorough investigation.
The body of Dambar Bhattarai, a 27-year-old teacher of Patan Municipality-1 Sakar Paleta of Baitadi was found dead about 5 meters below the road section to Jogbudha near Jorayal Rural Municipality 2 Budar Bazaar of Doti. Suspecting it to be murder, his relatives said they would not accept the body until the post-mortem report was received.
The body has been kept at Dadeldhura Hospital after postmortem. According to Dambar's brother Udhav Bhatta, the police are forcibly giving them the body. However, he said that he would not accept the body until the incident is fully investigated.
Spokesperson of the District Police Office, Doti, Deputy Superintendent of Police Indra Bahadur Malla said that no external injuries were found on the body of the deceased. He said that the family would have to wait for two days for the postmortem report.
Mahendra Nepal, Deputy Superintendent of Police, District Police Office, Dadeldhura, said that discussions are underway with the relatives at the District Administration Office, Dadeldhura.
The deceased teacher Dambar Bhatt had been involved in the teaching profession for the past 10 years. He had been teaching at Bhumiraj Kedar Basic School, Basyani Doti.
