Teacher accused sexually abused a female student in Achham

Dhangadhi: A teacher in Achham has been accused of sexually abusing a female student.

Students have agitated saying that a teacher working at a national secondary school in Babla, Sanphebgar Municipality-13 of the district has sexually abused a class 10 student of the same school.

Students have accused the teacher of sexually abusing the girl student during a forest picnic on Saturday. They have also locked the school demanding an impartial investigation into the incident.

Chairman of Ward No. 13 Sagar Singh Babli said that he had received information about the incident. "Police are now interrogating the accused teachers, girls and eyewitnesses," he said. "A meeting of the teachers and parents association has been held after the students locked the school."

However, Achham police said that they have not been informed about the incident so far. Police told Dinesh Khabar that they were taking information about the incident.
