Jhulaghat checkpoint reopen for five days in Baitad
Dhangadhi: The Jhulaghat border checkpoint of Baitadi has been reopened for five days.
According to Assistant Chief District Officer Lokendra Singh Negi, the border has been opened for five days from Monday onwards. The Nepal-India border has been opened in coordination with the decision of the Government of Nepal, District Administration Office, Baitadi and DM Office Pithoragarh, India.
He stated that the checkpoint was opened keeping in mind the problem of Nepali citizens holding Indian pensions. Jhulaghat border checkpoint had been closed since April due to the Coronavirus pandemic, due to which the pensioners were facing difficulties in receiving their pensions.
