Technical study starts for setting up a dry port in Kanchanpur

Dhangadhi: A technical team has started a study for the construction of a dry port in Mahakali Municipality-1 of Kanchanpur district.

A technical team including Industry, Commerce and Supplies Minister Lekhraj Bhatta has started the study from Sunday. The construction will be carried out in Mayapuri and Shiva Shankar community forest areas in Mahakali Municipality-1.

It is said that an inter-country trade center will be established along with the dry port. Accompanied by the study team, Minister Bhatta claimed that the construction of the dry port would now move forward at a faster pace.

Minister Bhatt said that this would also open the door for the development of the far-western states. The team is also scheduled to study the Daiji Chhela Industrial Area in Kanchanpur.
