One dies in a motorcycle accident in Kanchanpur

Dhangadhi: Prem Bahadur Saud, 45, of Bedkot Municipality-5, who was injured in an accident at Amkhaiya in Krishnapur Municipality-6 of the district on Thursday evening, died at Kohalpur Hospital, Nepalgunj while undergoing treatment.

He was riding his motorcycle (Ma 2 Pa 6272) when he was hit by a winger (Se 1 Ja 1027). According to Amar Bahadur Thapa Chhetri, Deputy Superintendent of Police, District Police Office, Kanchanpur, Kamal Saud, 62, of Bedkot was injured in the collision.

He said that Prem Bahadur Saud was rushed to Nepalgunj for further treatment as both the injured were first sent to Dhangadhi for treatment. Saud died in Nepalgunj while undergoing treatment but Kamal Saud is undergoing treatment at Maya Metro Hospital, according to police.

The body of the deceased has been brought to Mahakali Hospital and investigation is underway, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Amar Bahadur Thapa Chhetri.
