Mohana-Attaria 6-lane road project 4 months away from its given deadline

Dhangadhi : The contract agreement signed for the Mohana-Attaria 6-lane road under construction is only four months away from its deadline. According to the development plan, the 6-lane road will comprise of three bridges and three flyovers. 

According to Er Laxman Rawal of the Mohanapul-Attaria Road Planning Office, the contract process for the bridge over the Mohana River has not progressed but, a notice has been issued for the tender of constructing 64 meters long bridge over Manahara River and 24 meters long bridge over Suni Khola.

“The last due date for the finalisation of the tender of the two bridges in Mohanapul-Attaria road area was on October 27 but, we had to extend it by a week due to public holidays,” said Rawal.

He said that after one week, we will have information regarding who applied for the tender. The Department of Roads has approved the proposal to construct three flyovers over Traffic Chaura Dhangadhi, Rajpur road and Dhangadhi airport.

The department will send a team for its study, including soil testing. According to the office, flyovers will be built in area with heavy traffic in Dhangadhi.
