Corona patients in the far west exceed 9200

Dhangadhi: According to the Ministry of Health and Population, the number of infected patients has reached 9,243 following the addition of 132 confirmed cases from 6 laboratories in the state on Wednesday.

While the state's social development ministry refutes the number of infected to be 8,973 stating that  a number of people confirmed to be infected by laboratory-tests arrive from outside the province, thus excluding them from the tally.

The highest number of patients are from Kailali with 3,399 people followed by 1,237 people in Doti, said Narendra Karki, spokesperson of the Ministry of Social Development.

Similarly, 1,145 people from Achham, 994 people from Kanchanpur, 618 people from Bajhang, 470 people from Baitadi, 459 people from Bajura, 391 people from Dadeldhura and 254 people from Darchula have been infected, Karki stated, Out of  the 9200+ patients confirmed, 7453 have recovered from Corona while 30 have died.
