Few suspected in murdering policemen in Dhangadhi confess to their crime

Few people accused in the murder of Assistant Inspector of Police Govinda Bk, in-charge of the temporary police post Jugeda confessed that he was killed while he was trying to stop them from smuggling. "After the ASI tried to stop the smuggling, we killed him and dumped him in Mohana," the arrested accused allegedly said in a statement to the police.

A police source said that they had attacked the police while they were trying to recover the smuggled goods. Police have arrested most of the members of the gang involved in ASI's murder and have intensified the search for the fugitives.

The body of Assistant Inspector BK, who was on regular patrol on Saturday night, was found in Mohana River. He was cremated at Doda Ghat in Kanchanpur on Monday. The body of police constable Ram Bahadur Saud, who was on duty with ASI BK was also found this morning.
