Police constable Ram Bahadur Saud found dead in Mohana River
Police constable Ram Bahadur Saud, was found dead in Mohana River this morning.
It is suspected that he was also brutally murdered along with late Assistant Inspector BK. A spokesman for the Far-Western Provincial Police Office, Senior Superintendent of Police Mukesh Kumar Singh said, “Saud was killed using a sharp weapon. The missing pistol of late Assistant Inspector of Police was also found in the river.”
Last Saturday, Saud was patrolling with Assistant Inspector BK, in-charge of the temporary police post. However, Assistant Inspector BK was found dead in Mohana River in Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan Ward No. 10 at the Nepal-India border on Sunday morning.
While, Saud's body was found 200 meters away from the place where BK’s body was found. Meanwhile, police have arrested a group of people suspected to have committed the crime. According to District Police Office, of the 16 people arrested as suspects, few have confessed to have committed the murder in a police statement, while some of them are still absconding.
He said that both the policemen were killed in a field and thrown into the river.
