Fugitive man arrested for polygamy in Achham

Dhangadhi: Achham police have arrested a man absconding in a polygamy case. Nrip Bahadur Dhami, 30, of Mellekh Rural Municipality-1 of the district was arrested after four years.

Dhami, who was found guilty of polygamy, was sentenced to one year imprisonment and fined Rs 50,000 by the district court on December 20, 2008, said Inspector Ramesh Datta Awasthi, Information Officer at the District Police Office, Achham.

According to Inspector Awasthi, Dhami was arrested from Sanphebagar Municipality-4 and produced before the district court.
