1,028 Nepalese from Far-West return to India on Saturday
More than a thousand Nepalese have returned to India on Saturday from far-western states in search of employment.
According to police, 1,028 people have gone to India from Gadda Chowki and Gauriphanta checkpoint of Kanchanpur.
Spokesperson of the District Police Office, Deputy Superintendent of Police Amar Bahadur Thapakshetri said that 85 people had gone to India from Gadchauki and 943 from Gauriphanta.
According to him, only 436 people have entered Nepal home from both the checkpoints on Friday.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Thapakshetri, 105 people have returned from Gadda Chowki and 331 from Gauriphanta. Far-Westerners, who had returned home during the pandemic, have recently started going back to India in search of employment.
