One dies due to food poisoning in Kailali

Dhangadhi: Sixteen people of the same vicinity have been admitted for food poisoning in Kailali.

Sixteen people of Godawari Municipality Ward No. 10 Khamaura have fallen ill. One of them died on Tuesday evening, said Pratik Bista, Deputy Superintendent of Police, District Police Office, Kailali.

According to him, Suresh Bohara of Godawari Municipality Ward No. 10 died after getting food poisoning from the food he ate at a Shraddha.

He died at Seti Provincial Hospital. Chairman of Godawari Municipality Ward No. 10 Rabindra Shahi informed that one of the 16 died and the remaining 15 were undergoing treatment.

‘Three are undergoing treatment at Navjivan Hospital and two at Maya Metro Hospital. The rest are undergoing treatment at Seti Provincial Hospital, ”he said.

According to Chairman Shahi, they all fell ill after eating the food served at the Shraddha. Krishna Bohara, head of the emergency ward of Seti Hospital, said that they are suffering from food poisoning.
