Action taken against two persons for smuggling liquor during the prohibitory order in Dadeldhura

Dhangadhi: Dadeldhura police have seized liquor that was sold amidst the prohibitory order.

The sale and distribution of liquor is suspended during the injuction, said the police. Police have arrested two persons including a driver for violating the order. The Bagarkot Police Post had seized 100 cartons of illegal liquor from a jeep (Ma 1 Ja 184) heading to Bhageshwor Rural Municipality from the district headquarters at 2.30 am on Sunday.

Police have arrested Sunil Bhatt, 21, driver of Bhageshwor Rural Municipality and Gobind Deuba, 23, of the same place involved in smuggling. In regard to the Infectious Diseases Act 2020, the district administration has fined them Rs 2,100 each.
