Lamki-Tikapur-Khakraunla road of Kailali to be constructed
Kailali: Discussions and interactions were held in Lamki on Friday to start the construction of the Lamki-Tikapur-Khakraunla road section of Kailali.
Participants in the program have expressed their commitment to support road construction. At a program held in Lamkichuha Municipality Mayor Mahadev Bajagai had requested the locals for support by clearing the area adjoining the current road.
While participants of the program assured no obstruction in the construction if they receive land compensation after re-evaluation for the demolished structures during the road construction as soon as possible.
The contract agreement has been signed at a cost of Rs 1.5 billion and is scheduled to be completed in 30 months.
Engineer Padam Madai of the Postal Highway Project Office Dhangadhi informed that contract construction agreements have been signed with Kumar Kalika Construction, Khadka Krishna Construction and Galva Construction for the construction of the road.
29.7 km from Lamki to Khakraunla, 2.5 km from Lamki and 2.5 km from Tikapur area, 5 km for lane road will be be blacktopped.
