Far Western Nepali Society supports the flood victims of Achham

Dhangadhi: The Far Western Nepali Society has provided assistance to the flood victims of Achham.

Branches of the Far Western Nepali Society in different countries have jointly provided assistance to the families displaced by the floods along with incessant rains on Tuesday night in Saini Bazaar of Ramaroshan Gaonpalika Ward No. 5 of the district.

Dhan Bahadur Balayar, central chairman of the Far Western Nepali Society, said that food and other items were provided through the society's emergency relief fund.

He said that pulses, rice, oil, salt and other items were handed over to the displaced families. Dilendra Prasad Joshi, general secretary of the Far-Western Nepali Society International Committee, said that the aid materials were handed over during a formal function held in the presence of Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa, Industry Minister Lekhraj Bhatt and former Deputy Prime Minister Bhim Rawal on Friday.

The IDPs have been assisted by the Far Western Nepali Society, India, Israel, USA, Malaysia, Canada, Portugal, Korea, Bahrain, Japan, Macau, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Australia, Kuwait, Qatar, Denmark, Europe and other branches. South Asia Coordinator Dinesh Khadka 'Khaptadi' informed.
