PCR test performed on 45,000 people 11% test positive

In Far-West, more than 45,000 tests for Coronavirus have been performed using PCR method by Sunday.

According to the Health Directorate Dipayal, throat swab samples were collected from 47,698 people and more than 45,000 samples were tested while 11% of them tested positive for the virus.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, the infection has been confirmed in 5,021 people in the state by Sunday. 1,313 people have been infected in Kailali district, 795 people in Doti, 737 in Achham, 623 in Bajura and 596 in Kanchanpur.

Similarly, 313 people from Dadeldhura, 301 people from Baitadi, 298 people from Bajhang and 45 people from Darchula also tested positive. 4207 people have recovered while there have been 12 fatalities.
