Man arrested for harassing a ward member in Kanchanpur

Kanchanpur: Police have arrested a man on Saturday for harassing Dalit ward member Asha Tamrakar of Krishnapur Municipality-6 in Kanchanpur. While they were sitting in the yard, locals Deepak Odd and Kalu Odd tried to harass the ward member Tamrakar at 11 pm on Friday. 

According to Bharat Dhami, Deputy Inspector at the Area Police Office of Gulariya, Kalu Odd age 27, was arrested for using abusive language. He said that Deepak Odd fled and the police are looking for him. It is understood that both of them went to the house of ward member Tamrakar after drinking alcohol at night and started abusing and beating her. Inspector Dhami said, "Action should be taken against those who use abusive language."
